                             Additional Eligibility Criteria for admissions 2013-14

 

COMMERCE

 The student should have passed in English Core in class XII.

 

 B.Tech. COMPUTER SCIENCE

 

1. The student should have passed in English in class XII.

2. 80% marks in Mathematics in class XII.

3. The cut-offs percentage for non-science (i.e. non-PCM) would be 5% higher than PCM students.

4. The aggregate percentage will be computed on the basis of 4 elective subjects. (Maths + 3 Electives one of which can be English).   

  No Vocational subject will be considered.

Note: As per the University Information Bulletin/directive regarding "Eligibility Conditions for Different Courses" and the decision of the Admission Committee of the Staff Council, the College reiterates the following for information to aspirants:

 

Eligibility Criteria (Cut Off) for admission to Computer Science:

 

(i)             Language + Mathematics + Physics + Chemistry / Computer Science - 94%

 

(ii)         Language + Mathematics + two best electives -       99%

 

 

 

 ECONOMICS                                                                    

English          -  65%                                                      

Mathematics  -  75%

  No Vocational subject will be considered.

 

ENGLISH

 English Core :       75%

 Elective English:    70%

  Cut off for Commerce and Science stream will be 4% higher than the humanities.

               

 HINDI

 1. The student should have passed in Hindi in class XII.

 2. 1% relaxation in aggregate to students with 80% and above in Hindi Elective.

   No Vocational subject will be considered.

 

HISTORY

 

1.  1% relaxation will be given in aggregate to those who have scored 80% & above in History.

2.  Students from Science Stream will require 1% higher in aggregate compared to the Humanities stream.

3.  Students from the Commerce Stream will require 5% higher in the aggregate compared to the Humanities Stream.

  No Vocational subject will be considered.

 

 BACHELOR IN JOURNALISM AND MASS COMMUNICATION (BJMC)

 

 80% in English Core

  Or/And

 75% in English Elective

 

1.  The Cut-Off for Commerce will be 5% higher than the Cut-Off for  Humanities.

2.  The Cut-Off for Science will be 2% higher than the Cut-Off for Humanities.

 

  MATHEMATICS

 1. At least 85% marks in Maths (not Business Maths)

  No Vocational subject will be considered.

 

PHILOSOPHY

1. 70% in English/Hindi/Sanskrit

 

 POLITICAL SCIENCE

 

1.   1% relaxation for those who have scored 80% and above in Political Science.

2.   English - 60% in English

3.   The Cut-Off for Commerce will be 4% higher than the Cut-Off for  Humanities.

4.   The Cut-Off for Science will be 2% higher than the Cut-Off for Humanities.

  No Vocational subject will be considered.

 

 B.TECH. PSYCHOLOGICAL SCIENCES.

 

·       75% in English.

·       Category I: Students from the Humanities Stream or Science with Mathematics/Economics/Biology/Computer Science.

·       Category II: Students from the Commerce Stream will have a requirement of 2% higher differential as compared to Category I.

·       Category III: Students who include subjects such as Fine Arts, Physical Education, Music, Agriculture, Dance Informatics Practices,Entrepreneurship

         and Web Multimedia Technology for determining the Best of Four will have a 4% higher differential than Category I. 

·       Relaxation of 2% to students with 85% and above in Psychology, in any category.

 

  SANSKRIT

 

1. The student who has studied Sanskrit upto VIII may be considered for    admission to Sanskrit, securing a minimum of 70% marks in Sanskrit.

2. The student who has studied either upto class X or XII requires a minimum of 60% marks in Sanskrit.

  

  No Vocational subject will be considered.
